The name All Minus One was inspired by a J.S Mill quote
“If all mankind minus one, were of one opinion, and only one person were of the contrary opinion, mankind would be no more justified in silencing that one person, than he, if he had the power, would be justified in silencing mankind…” - John Stuart Mill, On Liberty
Mission
To create a culture of freedom
Our mission is to create a culture where freedom of expression is both appreciated and protected.
We intended to do this firstly, by creating a community around the value of freedom of speech, and then by launching a free expression festival.

Freedom Not Censorship
Encourage people to express themselves freely, even if you disagree with what they have to say.
Charity Not Pettiness
Give people the charity of interpretation, rather than assuming the worst possible motivations.
Create Culture Not Politics
Focus on creating things that will stand the test of time, and what will be important, inspiring, and beautiful far into the future, not the temporary and short-term spats of the present.
